- Science behind Meditation and its relation to nervous system & brian waves
- Meditation as defined by the father of modern yoga - Sage Patanjali
- Raja Yoga as defined in Hatha yoga Pradapika & Vigyan Bhairav Tantra - classical yoga text books
- Difference between meditation & mindfulness
- Objective of Meditation - in past and now
- Benefits of Meditation
Part B - Yoga Skills
- Suitable environment for meditation
- Various asanas used for meditation and their purpose
- Various mudra used for meditation and their purpose
- Preparation of physical & prana body your body slowly transforms to sit comfortably in these postures for meditation.
- Vigyan Bhairav Tantra explains 112 techniques for meditation. In this course, you will explore & practice meditation techniques from this book including:
- dharana in relaxed asana,
- dharana on breath,
- dharana on an object – light,
- dharana on ‘So – Hum,
- dharana on ‘AUM’ mantra, and
- dharana on Chakra
- Yogic Relaxation & its importance on our health
Mode of Delivery
You can choose from two modes:
1. part-time: 8 sessions, once/week
2. full-time: 5 days, 3 hrs/day
